Four Steps to Understand the Plate Rolling Machine Rolling Technology
With the development of science and technology and the continuous learning and introduction of foreign rolling technology, the production technology of rolling equipment in China has been greatly improved. In recent years, more and more three roll horizontal down coiler and four roll coiler produced in our country have replaced the symmetrical three roll coiler which has always occupied the main position in the coiling equipment. With the continuous progress of production technology of hydraulic products, the accuracy and performance of domestic hydraulic components have reached a higher level. Therefore, hydraulic transmission is more and more used in rolling equipment.
Plate rolling is a process of continuous three-point bending of sheet metal by plate rolling machine. When the equipment is rolling, the sheet metal is placed between the upper and lower work rolls. The upper roll rises and falls vertically, and the two lower rolls rotate and move horizontally relative to the axis of the upper roll. When the upper roll descends, the sheet is bent due to plastic deformation between the upper and lower work rolls. The lower roll rotates continuously and drives the steel plate forward and backward through the friction between the plate and the roll to complete the coiling.
Now let’s learn about the rolling process of the plate rolling machine, which is roughly divided into four steps:
1. Prebending
When the plate is rolled, there is a length at both ends of the plate that does not bend because it can not contact the upper roll, which is called the residual straight edge. The minimum arm of force at which the plate begins to bend is called the theoretical residual straight edge. Its size is related to the structure of the equipment and its bending form (symmetrical bending, asymmetrical bending).
2. Right
The purpose of alignment is to make the workpiece bus parallel to the roller shaft, so as to prevent torsion.
3. Roll round
Coiling is the main process of product forming, which can be divided into one feeding and multiple feeding. Multiple feeding is commonly used in thick plate coiling. The number of feedings depends on the process constraints (e.g. maximum allowable deformation during cold coiling) and the equipment constraints (e.g. no slip and power). When the recoiling amount is significant, a certain amount of overwinding must be added.
4. Straighten the circle
The purpose of circle straightening is to make the curvature of the whole circle as uniform as possible and ensure the product quality. Generally, the straightening process is divided into three steps:
(1) Loading: according to experience or calculation, adjust the work roll to the position of the required maximum corrective curvature.
(2) Rounding: roll the roller for 1-2 turns under the corrected curvature to make the curvature of the whole roll uniform.
(3) Unload: gradually unload the load to make the workpiece roll several times under the gradually reduced correction load.
